Physiotherapist led pilates for Seniors
Stay strong, steady and confident as you age.
Personalized Pilates and rehabilitation sessions designed around your abilities, your needs and the activities that matter to you.
Have everyday activities started to feel harder?
Q1 - Why do stairs feel harder?
You may notice that climbing stairs takes more effort than it used to.
Q2 - Why do I feel less steady?
Changes in balance or confidence can make everyday movement feel less comfortable.
Q3 - Why does getting up takes more effort?
Tasks that once felt easy may require more effort as strength and physical capacity change.
Q4 - How can I stay independent?
You want to keep doing the things that matter to you, with confidence and as much independence as possible.
You don't have to be fit before starting Pilates
Your starting point should be based on your current abilities and goals, not on what you think you should be able to do.
Start where you are
Exercises can be adjusted for your current strength, mobility, comfort and confidence.
Build progressively
Sessions can develop strength, balance, coordination and physical capacity over time.
Work towards what matters to you
This may mean getting up from a chair more easily, managing stairs, walking with greater confidence or maintaining an active lifestyle.
*Exercise selection and progression depend on individual assessment. Persistent or new symptoms may require further medical evaloation.
What makes WIF Different
Physiotherapist led guidance
Sessions are guided by physiotherapists who can consider relevant symptoms, physical limitations, and exercise needs when planning an appropriate program.
Personalized to your abilities
Exercises and progressions are adapted to the individual instead of expecting every client to follow the same routine.
Strength and function, not complicated moves
The emphasis is on building useful physical capacity and confidence for everyday life, rather than performing impressive looking exercises.
A calm, private environment
Clients can focus on their own program in a peaceful studio without the atmosphere of a busy gym.
